The internet is here to stay.

Post-Internet is a cultural movement reevaluating the impact of the internet on society and culture to both rediscover and nurture human purpose, meaning, and true connection in the digital era.

As Seen In

“The real problem of humanity is the following:
we have Paleolithic emotions, medieval institutions and godlike technology. And it is terrifically dangerous, and it is now approaching a point of crisis overall.”

Edward O. Wilson

  • Post-Internet Project is a fiscally sponsored 501c3 non-profit organization (HAPPI Inc.) whose mission is to support humans in closing the gap between our paleolithic emotions and godlike technology.

We do this by equipping individuals and communities with the education and personal skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the digital age.

  • In a world of constant media noise and rapid technological change, people need the space and support for personal reflection, self-compassion, and intrinsic character development to create the resilience necessary to thrive in a post-internet society.

  • We believe in promoting intrinsic character development and cultivating practices around positive psychology, identifying motivation, adaptability to change, meaning & purpose, social intelligence, impulse control, self awareness, and resilience.

Our team works with our collaborative partners to design and implement educational programs, develop resources, and facilitate conversations around utilizing social technologies to cultivate self-understanding, connection, compassion and meaning.

We believe in the following fundamentals:

    1. A culture of celebration is radically impactful when it comes to creating self-directed change.

    2. Healthy media consumption looks different for everyone. Agency and self-directed change are necessary for individualized media consumption.

    3. Social technologies are not a substitute for social connection or meaning making.

    4. Personal reflection and intrinsic character development are vital for individuals to cultivate resilience in our post-internet society.

  • The internet is here to stay. We are focused on equipping individuals with the transferable skills necessary to thrive in a post-internet world.

We work to promote self-discovery, foster meaningful connections, and help people find purpose in an era defined by constant connectivity.
